THE LANGUAGE OF THE “RUG”

The vast world of Oriental rugs is simultaneously unsettling, bewildering, and captivating. No one can claim to know it perfectly. Furthermore, it's a knowledge acquired somewhat like a mother tongue, with the added difficulty of the fact that few people know and speak the "Language of the Rug."

THE CREATION

The incessant search for the emotion produced by an exceptional piece, a form of contact with another civilization yet contemporary: all this allows us to glimpse a very particular philosophy, that of the weavers who could give twenty years of their lives to learn and ten years to create a comparable piece which in itself is the realization of half of an active life.

 TABRIZ

Iranian Tabriz rugs are hand-knotted in the city of the same name. Thanks to their vibrant colors and diverse patterns, Iranian Tabriz rugs bring an oriental ambiance to any home.

 BIDJAR

Bidjars are recognizable by the thickness of their weave, due to the strength of the weft threads pulled against the knots. Their double weft of wool or cotton ensures their durability.
